The funny thing is that if you google these sleeves and look at the description of the product you will find that they are "Made with Earth-friendly recycled corrugated paper." I'm not making that up!! Google it. Great story, Billy!

Ah, great post (I remember this one, although once I read any of your posts, Billy, I don't soon forget). I'm glad we are more than just 'earth,' that we were made for fellowship with the divine... Wonderful reminder. Thanks.

I love this earth too...the beauty quite often leaves me speechless and sometimes I'll see something so breathtakingly beautiful it makes me wonder how anyone can say there is no God.

I believe we need to be good stewards of what God has given us but you are so right...we are way more than earth.

Nice!
Good comment to leave her with - she might now start asking "What did he mean ... we are more?" And that's a good question to ask.

No cardboard sleeves but cup tops made of plastic? Were Starbucks serious about being a good steward of our planet, it would have asked in advance that everyone bring his or her own ceramic mug or travel mug to the counter that day.

This quote from Pierre Theilhard de Chardin seems apt today: "We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey."

Does the earth have burnt fingers? Is that what they were trying to teach by not letting you have a sleeve?
