Sunday…Worship

by BridgetChumbley on November 22, 2009

I wanted to thank all of you that stopped by last Sunday and left the caring comments, sent me private messages, and offered prayer.

Not much has changed in this past week, but I’m working on not losing faith. God stretches us so that we can grow… I’m trying to keep this in mind as I remember where my strength comes from.

This week, I’ll let MY ‘words’ be few (shocking, I know)… I hope you enjoy this song, it’s a good one!

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

I’ve always liked these words of Melody Beattie, because they hold true in many situations. As you let go the balls and they begin to come back to you, recall these words to yourself. They helped me. I hope they help you.

“Letting go doesn’t mean we don’t care. Letting go doesn’t mean we shut down. Letting go means we stop trying to force outcomes . . . It means we give up resistance to the way things are, for the moment. It means we stop trying to do the impossible–controlling that which we cannot–and, instead, focus on what is possible–which usually means taking care of ourselves. And we do this in gentleness, kindness, and love, as much as possible.”

Namaste.

I have found amazing comfort in the Kutless song “What Faith Can Do.” It has really spoken to me this week – take a listen, and know that we all struggle with this at times. Well, at least that’s what those in the know tell me :) Praying for you, really I am.
