The time has come for another One Word at a Time Blog Carnival. The word/topic is ‘Peace’.
UPDATE: There has been a change of plan and the carnival will be hosted here. I will have the widget up and running later this evening.
A smile is the beginning of peace. ~Mother Teresa
One of our fellow bloggers has made a challenge and I’m excited to participate. For every comment I receive on my Peace post… I will donate $1 to World Vision for Haiti relief.
If you’d like to be a part of this (and for all the details)… please read what @Doallas has to say at: Challenge for Haiti.
I look forward to reading all of your thoughts on Peace!

Bridget, thank you for the call-out. I have two others so far who are participating in a donation. Exciting.
I will be joining this effort, Bridget. I’ll be donating to Week of Compassion and linking to my post on peace, which I posted today b/c I always blog on Mondays. But I will shout out to the Carnival and inform everyone tomorrow on my blog of the efforts to raise money for the relief efforts in Haiti. What a wonderful way for people to mission and help from afar.
Bridget, I saw a video today that showed a Haitian father standing beside his teen daughter, who was laying on the ground with a head injury. He had been unable to afford the necessary transport to the nearest medical resources, so she had been laying there for a week. The cost of the tap-tap (you tap on the side of the taxi to request transport) would have been $15. Fifteen dollars. Just wow. (You may want to clarify that you’ll donate for each ORIGINAL post, or I might show up at least 15 times!) Thanks for being so generous and thoughtful.
