Sunday…Worship

by BridgetChumbley on January 17, 2010

After the tragedy in Haiti this week, I was yearning for comfort while watching image after disturbing image… full of destruction and death.

This song is one of the most inspirational songs (IMHO), and I think we could all use that right now…

Please continue to pray for the people of Haiti… and for those who are arriving daily to try to help… and bring hope amongst despair.

Here is a link to Samaritan’s Purse and one for World Vision if you’d like to donate.

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” ~ John 16:33

This was one of the most memorable songs that flipped my world upside down…….thanks for sharing it and bringing back a wave of wonderful emotions for me this morning.

I have been overwhelmed myself with the images of destruction and devastation…..my only hope and consolation is submersing myself in prayer.

Do you KNOW how that song gets me every time I hear it? We sang it at Marks Memorial service. A Dear friend of ours performed it there. I then saw Mercy Me at Rolling Hills and I stood in front of them w/ my “kids” and we sang and cried with them. So powerful and so many many good connections!

Headed to Church in a little while to have my Cup filled. Definitely needing it this week. Check out my blog for lots of Haiti things.

Thank you for remindng me of the sadness and of the pain and suffering these people live with day to day. God will rescue them, that I know. I am so thankful that there are so many people that are trying to alleviate their sufferings.
