Hi, I’m Bridget’s son Andrew. My favorite Christian band is For Today. When I was asked by my Mom to do a guest post, I knew I wanted to do a ‘Sunday Worship.’ I knew what song I would use, one of my favorite For Today songs; Talmidim (The Servants).
For Today is a metal/hardcore band, but the song I’m using is not. This song speaks to me in a way most songs don’t. I’m not the kind of guy that’s a very public and up front Christian, but this song and it’s lyrics have changed that, and they have changed me.
Talmidim uses my favorite bible verse…
“26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.28 You shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers, and you shall be my people, and I will be your God.” – Ezekiel 36:26-28.

Andrew, I love that verse also and I think it’s so good that God is stretching you and teaching you to be more out there with your faith. That is something that I could still use some improvement in also, and I’m almost 30.
I’m going to have to show my husband this video. He’s always looking for some new, good Christian music.
I’ve never heard of this band and am so glad you shared this – the song really spoke to me. This song is so full of conviction, a message I truly needed to hear today. I am so unworthy, but only He can make me worthy and that is where I rest my hope. The last six words of that verse just resonate…and I will be your God. How awesome is that?

This song completely rocks!!! I had not heard it before and I love really good worship songs.
I love how they speak over the singing to really drum in God’s powerful message to us. The chorus is one that really gets in your heart and spirit, too. Awesome!!
