One Word Header for Web

Carnival

by BridgetChumbley on April 19, 2010

It’s once again time for the One Word at a Time Blog Carnival. Our topic/word is Self-control.

The link widget will be up and running later tonight. As always, I’m excited to read your great thoughts and stories.

For general information, click here: Carnivals. If you have further questions, please feel free to ask.

Upcoming dates/words:

April 20 – Self-control
May 4 – Joy

We’re at the end of our carnival calendar… If you have suggestions for future words/topics, please let Peter or myself know.

See you at the carnival…

A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is… A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later. That is why bad people, in one sense, know very little about badness. They have lived a sheltered life by always giving in. ~C. S. Lewis

I just heard about a sermon series that Lifechurch.tv is doing called “Forgotten Virtues.” They are going to be talking about: honour, Purity, loyalty, integrity and gratitude. I thought those might be great topics to blog about! :)

I didn’t know if I was going to make it for this one! I was so tired that ideas seemed pretty scarce, but what do you know? there was something in there after all! :)

Thanks for hosting the fun, Bridget.
