One Word at a Time…Grace
To truly understand the love our God has for us is impossible to wrap our heads around. That He would love us imperfect sinners, and sacrifice His one and only Son as a symbol of His grace is overwhelming!
I once read one of those email forwards about a family whose son was the only hope to save the world. They’d have to sacrifice him in an attempt to get an antidote for a terrible disease that was killing everyone.
I remember reading it over and over, and thinking about how impossible it would be to make a decision like that… yet our Heavenly Father willingly made that choice and gave us the ultimate gift.
All He asks is that we accept it…
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Ephesians 2:8-9

amen
I second the amen. Thanks Bridget.
He made a terrible choice — and he rained grace down on top of us because of it. Only God could do that. Good post, Bridget – and thanks for hosting this.
What wondrous love!
Wow! Thanks!
This was beautifully written……thank you for the awesome reminder of God’s unfailing love.
Still hard to wrap my head around grace sometimes, but I’m so grateful for it! And I love that song!
Amazing Grace! Awesome grace. Grace that is greater… God’s grace.
I am because He is. His grace covers me.
Thank you for the grace you extend to all of us in your words and actions …
Oh Wow! Beautiful!
Better late than never, right? I was going through blog posts today, catching up on labels and weeding out old drafts, when I found one on grace. I went ahead and linked up.
Thanks to all who posted, and for those took the time to comment. I appreciate all of you, and miss keeping up with your blogs and chatting online… only 3 weeks till summer vacation!
